Minority group nightmare

Pros

There are no pros other then the ability to work remotely.

Cons

During my time at DI I observed and experienced situations that I believe indicate a systemic issue with how minority groups are treated. Despite the company's public commitment to diversity and inclusion, the reality, as I perceived it, was starkly different. One of the most troubling aspects was the consistent harassment and discrimination faced by employees from minority communities – including people of color, indigenous people, people requiring accessibility accommodations, and LGBTQ+ individuals. This harassment took various forms and was not only deeply distressing but also went largely unaddressed by the company’s HR department. Complaints and concerns raised to HR seemed to be met with inaction, contributing to a work environment that felt hostile and toxic. Furthermore, the lack of effective measures to prevent or address harassment led to a workplace where such behavior could continue without significant consequence. This not only impacts the well-being of the affected employees but also undermines the trust in the company’s ability to ensure a safe and respectful work environment for all. For those considering a position at DI, it's important to be aware of these issues. While my experience may not be universal, it raises serious concerns about the company's commitment to protecting and supporting its minority employees.

Amazing small company culture with large corporation benefits

Pros

Consulting training is extensive and actually prepares you for work. Managers and directors within consulting organization care about your input and take it seriously. You can bite off as much as you want to chew as far as solution capabilities to learn. Lots of development updates to an establish software. Brand recognition and a product that laboratories actually respect and appreciate. The product sells itself, but the company culture is the cherry on top.

Cons

This was a small (<200 people) organization for over thirty years. They’re growing and with that comes need to document what was previously tribal knowledge. Change in leadership finally settling but organizational changes coming. Backlog of projects so plenty of work, but lots of it is caught up in a new release of software that’s been delayed for 1.5yrs. Old tech in software hard to get enhanced due to prioritization and small development team’s resources

Pros

Everyone is engaging, helpful, quick to jump in to help on a live call, and friendly. Onboarding training was above par. Managers are awesome and want growth for you. Lots of transparency Customer focused as well as employee focused, I feel like I matter. Small company so you get to know everyone and where they all live. Work is 100% remote, and if you live close there is still an office to go to, if you want.

Cons

Ongoing training can be helpful
