      Pros

      Great colleagues (at one point). Another opportunity for Transmission/SATCOM related background.

      Cons

      Poor field/upper-level field management. Very little/non-existant technical support. Believes in "beyond-scope" service: translates into "bend-over backwards", without reward. Heavy dependance on a few, DoD customers - almost all positions OCONUS. Below-market compensation, Lowest, technically-acceptable talent acquisition approach. Once a tour-de-force in technical services, now/has been a "body-shop".

      Work from home, retain benefits of travel (Skymiles, rental car, and hotel points).

      Cons

      Poor/lack of communication from Sr. Management. No promotion opportunity. Downsizing of FSE staff to hire Directors and VPs. Inability to capture new contracts.

      Good Company, Steady Growth

      Pros

      Decent benefits (used to be stellar), good work/life balance, 2 weeks paid vacation (was 3 but not for under 10 years of service). Stocked break rooms are great and the technology used is modern. Most employees are prior service and that generally means no nonsense.... generally.

      Cons

      Poor contract acquisition has left this company strapped for cash and it shows. Nothing new on the horizon has people worried. Management only holds meetings when there is something good about to happen. When they are silent for months at a time that generally means layoffs or we are being purchased/sold. Upper management/Vice Presidents seem to be rewarded for failure while the rest of us get salaries cut/vacations cut/health insurance stripped. Accountability up the ladder seems nil while the little guy takes the brunt of the layoff stick.
