      Pros

      Enablement was strong and gave me a great foundation for my career Product sold itself and still does. Owns a majority of the market and is not slowing down Benefits and options

      Cons

      The main reason I left was due to not receiving a promotion to become an Account Executive after hitting quota for a year consecutively and being a clear top performer. I was not a “favorite” and continuously worked tirelessly to appease the Commerical Sales Managers to earn a promotion. It is too bad to see this is still how Datadog operates - if you can’t get on a Managers good side, rumors spread about you or you don’t fit their “ideal mold” your performance meant and still appears to mean nothing.

      Solid option for career starting point, stagnation afterwards

      + Fast growing and successful business, lots of customers w/ good relationships + High caliber IC engineers + Product minded CEO

      Cons

      - Limited growth opportunities, not a place for experienced PMs - Out of touch and profoundly arrogant senior leadership - Poor work life balance - Non-existent diversity - Insane amounts of dotted line reporting - Mid management micromanagers

We will continue to strive for an inclusive culture where diverse perspectives are considered and appreciated. We're excited to be currently investing in substantial growth in the PM org and support teams. Our People team are developing new opportunities for all levels of staff to grow in their careers. As we speak, revised manager training programs are being implemented to better arm our leaders with the tools to grow successful teams and individuals, and we believe this will drive leading practices moving forward.       Fine if you’re on the right team

      Pros

      Benefits are fine (good but you could do better in NYC tech…), good solid product, a lot of kind hard-working people.

      Cons

      Can’t vouch for other teams but my department made me feel disposable. Weak attempts to address feedback everyone gives each quarter. Plus the end of my employment came abruptly, and with vague reasoning on mgmt's part. My manager told me straight up there was no path to promotion for my role (!) which as someone beginning their career in tech was very discouraging. There were some lovely people on my team but obviously mgmt doesn’t care employee retention.
