Pros

I interviewed and started remotely - the process was seamless and the HR/on-boarding teams were incredible throughout the process. Very transparent and helpful. - Welcoming culture where your team wants you to succeed - Comp/benefits on par with the market - Supposedly the office is incredible and all the perks that come with it (lunch 3x a week during normal times etc) I personally have not yet been - however, quite a few people on my team are itching to go back, which is a great indication of culture.

Cons

- no 401k match. This is mitigated by restricted stock units, but still not ideal - nothing else to note

Pros

Datadog strikes the perfect balance of the support and structure of an enterprise level organization while still maintaining the feel of a young, forward thinking business. I'm extremely impressed with leadership and how they have grown the organization while still remaining visible and accessible. The people that work here are some of my favorite employees I've ever had. The company is filled with passionate, intelligent, and engaging humans. It's a social environment (even virtually) where employees are encouraged to get to know each other on an interpersonal level. There is growth potential if you are willing to work hard and speak up, and good work is recognized and rewarded. Could not be happier with my nearly 2 years of working here- would recommend it to anyone!

Cons

Lots of fast paced growth in all aspects of the business can lead to aggressive SLAs and objectives. Fast paced is the the only pace at Datadog! You need to be flexible and might have to change course at the drop of a hat, or take on new, unexpected project. Not so much a con if you enjoy that kind of environment, but can be stressful if that doesn't suite your work style.

Pros

I joined Datadog during the height of COVID. I got laid off from my former employer and started my search immediately and came across Datadog. Man am I happy that I did! Datadog has been so amazing. The interview experience was top notch. The recruiter I was working with and the recruiting coordinator made it a seamless experience. I was always updated with where I was in the process and it never took long to get feedback. The process itself wasn't too difficult, but that could be the role I'm in. Now comes onboarding. Onboarding during a global pandemic has challenges. But I can say without a doubt that my onboarding has been the absolute best of my career and it was all done remotely. The HR team did a tremendous job making this happen. The first thing I noticed when I joined was that everyone was so nice. It's almost shocking how nice everyone is. No matter the team, people are willing to help you. There doesn't appear to be an "I'm too good for this job" attitude. And then lastly as a working mom, Datadog has been so thoughtful to our parenting needs. Yes, we're home all day with our kids and some of us are lucky enough to have childcare, others aren't. Datadog has provided us with an emergency childcare subsidy to help us during these times. If your childcare needs haven't changed, then you're eligible for a regular childcare subsidy. It's pretty great! But even with the subsidy which is amazing, they are also flexible. An example, our childcare fell through and I was prepping for a meeting and had to go get my child to come sit in with me while I prepped on a zoom call. Everyone was so great and didn't seem to mind that my crazy toddler was standing up on the chair behind me and I was desperately trying to be engaged and make sure he didn't fall. It was not an issue that my child was there.

Cons

The work never ends! It's both a good and a bad thing, but there is always more to do.
