      Pros

      - Incredibly impactful product that makes a difference in the world - Impressive AI technology that is the first of its kind, way ahead of the competition - The People - highly motivated and diverse individuals with low egos but mission-driven and supportive - Leadership that has a wealth of experience and is supportive of new ideas - Leadership investment in their employees by way of identifying opportunities for growth - Commitment to DEI initiatives and programs - Autonomy I have over my work and role (not micromanaged and lots of opportunities for creativity and taking risks) - Excellent mentorship program and Emerging Leaders program Overall, I have been with Dataminr for over 5 years and I can say I have witnessed a greater impact on the world and our customers, than any other company or organization I have been a part of. It's inspiring to work here, and what is even more inspiring are the individuals that make up the Dataminr community. In addition, Dataminr's commitment to constant improvement has been what has kept me here, along with the mission. Leadership recognizes we are not perfect and as we grow there are a lot of things we can do to improve and hold ourselves accountable.

      Cons

      - Lots of recent change has disrupted teams and processes and challenged us in many ways to adapt (but there has been clear communication on the reasons for change that has helped support it]

      High integrity leadership, unique mission

      Pros

      All of the thrill and reward of working in a high growth business, with a lot of opportunity to influence and improve the GTM motion.

      Cons

      No surprise, much of the ambiguity that comes with working at a startup. Dataminr is figuring it out. If you enjoy the puzzle, it's a great challenge. If you're looking to be handed a fully written playbook, look elsewhere.

      Making an Impact

      Pros

      I have been in sales for over 20 years and as I approach my two anniversary with Dataminr, I can honestly say this has been the most meaningful and impactful sales job I have ever had. Why? Our platform has a 10+ year history of AI/LLMs enabling it to provide the fastest real-time threat intelligence that not only saves lives, but also protects a company’s assets and business continuity. The conversations I have with my clients on the value this has provided them is incredibly rewarding as a seller seeing the genuine impact I am having with my clients that they wouldn’t be able to get anywhere else. There is a lot of change going on within the industry and our management looks to not only change with the industry but to remain the industry disruptor and to pave the path for best in class services. Leadership is very open to learning from clients and what sellers are hearing from the, They want to ensure we are molding our product roadmap to meet the needs of those that use us.

      Cons

      As I mentioned, there is a lot of change going on in the industry right now and so you have to be able to adapt and change with it, without losing a sense of focus or purpose.
