Pros

As an onsite Supervisor often things you notice needing done to improve the place are overlooked usually because of budgeting. When our leaders from corporate come to visit, it is see to it that it gets done. I REALLY ENJOY when I hear this. It really lets me know they care and really do want what's best for their community and it's residents. I look forward to their every visit. Now how many times do you hear that from onsite employee's? They truly have your back!!!! I really hope I get to retire with Davis, there is NO PLACE I'D RATHER BE....

Cons

NONE that I have ever noticed

This is just awesome to read. Seriously—thank you for saying all that. It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day, but hearing how much you look forward to our visits and feel supported means a lot. That’s what we’re trying to do—have each other’s backs and make sure the folks doing the hard work onsite know we care. We’re lucky to have you, and I really hope you do retire with us. Thanks for everything you do every day, #DavisDifference

Pros

Great work/life balance Good pay Real family atmosphere with upper management constantly communicating with on-site teams Top of the line properties

Cons

There should be more incentives for Property Managers, Assistants and Maintenance to get bonuses. Leasing agents make very good bonuses that sometimes make them have a higher salary than the Property Manager. The company used to pay a bonus to the PM and AM for every lease that the team got and that seemed more fair since the PM and AM do alot of the work with these leases and move ins. Also our maintenance team works really hard to get these apartments ready. They get a lot dumped on them with no incentive to help us get these leased.

Thanks for sharing this - it’s thoughtful and honest, and I appreciate it. You’re right that leasing bonuses are strong, and I hear you on the imbalance. PMs, Assistants, and Maintenance put in serious work to make everything happen, and it’s important we keep looking at how we reward the whole team, not just part of it. Also agree that having a solid SOP - especially with input from folks who’ve worked at different companies - could make a real difference. No promises here, but I’ll keep this feedback front and center as we continue trying to grow the right way. Thanks for what you do every day.

Thanks for this—it really means a lot. I'm glad to hear the job feels low-stress and that you feel heard and supported. That’s the kind of culture we’re always aiming for. Appreciate the note on PTO too—we’ll take a look at that. And yes, we plan to keep building show stoppers. Glad you're part of it.
