Pros

Management is very hands on and they care! So much support from any and everyone. The company is always striving to go above and beyond for their employees and their residents. Quality, quality, quality! Pay is great. Fun environment. Tons of room for growth!

Cons

Uniforms required, Pay for a portion out of pocket.

Davis is a nice company

Pros

welcoming, flexible, decent pay, beautiful communities, invests into their employees

Cons

open 7 days a week (but pays full time for sundays), not so much a con but it can be for some but I was informed once a community stablizes they will usually sell

You’re right about Sundays - we know being open 7 days can be a shift for some, so we try to make it fair with the full-time Sunday pay. As for communities selling after stabilization, that can happen depending on the market and our goals, but we always aim to communicate openly and keep our teams looped in. Pros

I have worked for this company for many years (going on 5) and I can confidently say this is one of the best companies I have had the privilege of working for. The hourly rate is above industry standard and commission is higher than other companies. The job itself is fun and not overly stressful! Work life balance ( for a leasing consultant) is very fair! I would recommend this company to friends and family.

Cons

Davis development offers seasonal wardrobe 2 times a year - roughly every 6 months. The company pays $600 out of the $1200 spent on new wardrobe. This would be a pro, however we are VERY restricted on what we can buy. Over the years it seems like the restrictions have gotten more and more strict. As someone with almost 10 seasons worth of wardrobe, and every possible color in dress, skirt and shirt, It is hard to justify paying $600 out of my check every 6 months on clothing that I might already own. Another con would be that there is very little room for growth.

The wardrobe program is meant to keep everyone looking sharp without becoming a burden, so if it’s starting to feel that way, that’s something we need to look at.
