Appreciate you taking the time to post this. Glad to hear your first year’s off to a good start and that the support and fairness are coming through. Looking forward to seeing what you do in Broomfield.

Pros

Davis Development is a fantastic company to work for! The compensation is competitive, and I truly feel valued as an employee. It’s clear that they care about their team members, and the company fosters a family-like environment. It’s great to work somewhere that feels supportive and rewarding!

Cons

One downside is that the PTO policy could be improved. It would be better if sick days were separate from vacation time, rather than using vacation days for illness. A little more flexibility in this area would make a big difference.

Thank you for your post! We are so excited to have you on our team! We truly value the employees on the front line, making things happen and getting the leases in the door so these potential residents can find a great new home. The teams at our communities love what they do and it shows to everyone that walks in the door. We changed our PTO program to all one bucket many years ago, so that an employee has the flexibility to use the paid time off awarded for whatever is needed, illness, personal time, vacation etc. Again, thank you again for this wonderful post and suggestions.

Pros

The only pro is the pay. The properties are nice and they put in the work to keep them nice.

Cons

So many cons but they might be different for everyone. My cons is that you can't go to HR or they will fire you. This happened to me as well as 2 other employees at my location and I am unsure if the ones before me had the same situation. We had a terrible manager who had a problem with disciplining employees that work hard but doing everything she could to protect the one employee that she clearly showed favoritism for. There is a mean girls club that if you are not apart of then you are expendable. It doesn't matter what your performance is like or how hard you work only if you are liked. Do not ever question why your manager is not treating you fairly because you will be 'literally' set up for termination and I am being extremely serious in this. They do not care about you as humans or people or even what you bring to the table. Complain to HR and know that you will be terminated. I have an email from HR that anyone who reads it would be like wtf. The pay is great but depending on your manager it might not be worth it.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand that workplace concerns can arise, and when they do, it’s the responsibility of all parties to work together toward improvement. When HR conducts an investigation, communications are often shared with everyone to set clear expectations and ensure alignment. In this particular situation, repeated violations of company policies, refusal to fulfill assigned responsibilities, and actions like allowing someone to move in without following proper procedures presented serious challenges. These are significant breaches of our guidelines, and when combined with other ongoing issues, they indicated that the role may not have been the right fit. We take pride in fostering a supportive and enjoyable work environment, as reflected in the many positive experiences shared by our team members. While this role did not meet mutual expectations, we wish you nothing but success in your future endeavors. Best regards,
