The benefits are great and include medical, dental and vision. We have excellent pension plans (state and county), a pleasant work environment, flexibility for employees with children and many opportunities to learn and grow.

Cons

The pay is not so great, and we are experiencing furlough days to meet county budget requirements. There are a lot of long-term employees, so you may have to put in some time before advancing your position.
