Major micromanagement

Pros

The people and atmosphere is amazing. Benefits are something you don’t see very often, making it very difficult to leave if you are not happy. Plenty of opportunity for growth if you are willing to stick it out long enough

Cons

Micromanagement is so bad that it makes the workday very stressful. Sometimes the focus on numbers is so bad, that it makes people fearful of their job being taken from them. In admissions, you are a cold-call solicitor.

Things only got worse after time

Pros

They are very good at recruiting high functioning, capable people. So the people are usually very good at what they do and a pleasure to work alongside.

Cons

Everyone has their breaking point, and year after year more layoffs means more work each person and morale just took a nosedive.
