Pros

My team at that time and helping student find financial resources that would help assist in their education

Cons

Consist frictions between academic, registrar and admission. It seemed as if everyone wanted to pass the buck and not take responsibility. In addition, people were starting to do things because it was coming so driven by admission and getting student enrolled and not helping or considered with if Devry was the right fit for that student.

Pros

The school offered flexible work schedule. You need to spend 20-30 hrs per week teaching on campus. You can do job related work off campus.

Cons

The students were rude, poorly prepared for college, did not respect faculty. Deans always sided with students to accuse faculty. The campus had a toxic academic work environment.

Pros

For full-time faculty - great schedule; reasonably competitive pay; make sure you work for a good dean -- I am happy to have a great one. Most faculty are good to work with. A lot of long tenured individuals. No pressure to publish.

Cons

As full-time faculty, you will be teaching a lot more than at a typical research university -- the schedule is still good though. Not a lot of faculty are interested in research and there is no departmental funding to do so. Some administrators require faculty to rigidly stick to pre-designed curriculum, which can be good start from new instructors, but can be annoying for more experienced ones. Will probably be required to teach online from time-to-time.
