Fine if you don't mind being a telemarketer
Pros
I have nothing bad to say about management or my coworkers. They give in-depth training and are available to help once your training is over. I would work at DeVry again if there was a better position open near me than this one. The company was fine, it was the job itself that I didn't enjoy.
Cons
I wasn't too thrilled about this job based on other similar reviews, but I was in a bind. As others have said about this role, it is basically telemarketing. All someone has to do is express interest, and they will be inundated with calls. If they actually are serious about applying, they must sit through this phone call filled with information that can easily be found online. You sit for most of the day making hundreds of dead-end calls, saying hello and immediately being hung up on, and occasionally being cursed at for spam calling. You're lucky if you talk to 1 to 2 actual prospective students a day, and even luckier if you are ever able to follow up with them after the initial call. This isn't a position that I was proud to say I held. All that being said, there are people who have been in this role for years, so obviously it's for somebody. Just not for me.
