Pros

Pay and benefits are in line with industry norms. For the people who qualify for it, flexible work schedules and working from home are nice perks.

Cons

DeVry will do almost anything to cut costs. While the pay is decent, raises for most ground level employees are small. Careers stagnate, and most departments constantly ask employees to do more while rewarding mediocrity at the same time. Management is quick to talk about people who get promoted and how they love to hire from the inside, but those promotions are actually rare. People are very quick to blame external factors for lack of growth, and changes are usually about being efficient rather than improving service to either employees or customers. People get asked to use all the resources they have available, but those resources are constantly changing and your manager and support staff don't always have a good answer for why. Direct managers are often helpful but overworked.

Pros

Autonomy, overall good course shell design, responsive IT department

Cons

Recently there has been a big inconsistency in class scheduling and I am no longer scheduled for courses I've been teaching for years; huge push in 2017 for "bigger," "flashier" multimedia presence in courses which also comes with hours of (unpaid) training; no raise in 6 years
