Pros

Great benefits, lots of time off and the people are really pretty nice. Work is not to difficult until you start getting higher up. Then you realize what a complicated accounting system DFAS has. It really needs a lot of updates and internal controls there are very week.

Cons

Hard work doesn't necessarily get recognized the way it should. Promotions are a lot of red tape. Management sometimes lacks but it depends on the area you are in. Company goals can change almost instantly depending upon who is in office and when elections are so be prepared for that.

Pros

Time off, benefits, casual dress

Cons

Can barely be promoted, talked down too all the time inless your are a GS-11 or higher, people who do nothing at their jobs are paid the same and no one tried to stop it.
