Pros
Good organization, great support to the warfighter at most field sites, meaning it's rewarding to know we're making a difference. Management trusts its workers' integrity and talent to be able to autonomously operate with sufficiency. Morale is very high here despite furloughs and budget issues. Good stability and pro-family.
Cons
Impact of the indirect difference we make to the warfighter is vague. The off-hands approach is a bit too off-hand, should be more direct involvement/participation in each employee's lives. Too many 1-deep personnel. Not enough push back against headquarters' inconsistent policies and the non-applicability of certifications. Software installations are a failure in general and there's too much beta testing of products that are placed immediately into production for some reason. The bathrooms are cleaned way too often, unnecessarily. Too many conflicts of interest and nepotism/favoritism regarding allowance of relatives to work with each other and/or be hired for the same building (either spousal or by blood). Too many fast-track promotions of young, former student interns to management, over more experienced personnel, particularly military folk.
