      Disabled Employees, Stay Far Away

      Pros

      Pay and job security was stable, until Musk and DOGE reduced the budget to force massive downsizing across the entire federal government.

      Cons

      DISA absolutely hates disabled employees, and they will stop at nothing to ruin their lives just to maintain their own bottom line. They will openly discriminate against your disabilities by exploiting them for their own benefit and profit, and then they will turn around and use your own disabilities against you to dispose of you when they are done with you. For example, they will pay you lower wages and actively prevent you from getting promoted if you are disabled, even if you are very good at your job. Just stay away.

      Pros

      The job can oftentimes be very slow and allow you moments to focus on learning other certs or cross-training with other NOCs.

      Cons

      Upwards mobility oftentimes does not come with increased compensation. Management gives poor directives to follow and then will tear you apart for not doing things a certain way. You will spend more time ticketing than troubleshooting. Great to get your foot in the door, but get out as soon as you can. Compensation is not competitive compared to other companies and turnover is EXTREMELY HIGH, and for a good reason.
