Pros

Family owned, not family run anymore, sad. Good benefits and holidays off. Nothing more good to say. They want me to say more good things for the 20 word minimum, but have nothing else.

Cons

Numerous reviews have been deleted from this site, due to pressure from the HR department at Delicato, this site has now lost credibility. Do not come to this site for the truth on Delicato, it’s a corporate company sight. 5 individuals have left reviews in the last 60 days and they all have been erased....no credibility here.

Delicato Family Vineyards is a family owned and family operated organization. We take enormous pride in the wide variety of roles the Indelicato family holds throughout the organization. Family members are in leadership positions such as CEO and COO. In addition, we have family members who serve as brand ambassadors and work in Transportation, Winemaking, our Customer Service department, and the Tasting Room in Manteca. These family members also serve on the board which makes all major decisions regarding the business. With regard to the comment about the removal of recent reviews: this is simply untrue. Delicato has never removed or had removed any reviews. In fact, Glassdoor controls all postings and rarely removes them, even when extremely negative. Although employers may request the removal of postings, Glassdoor rarely does so, often referencing their commitment to transparency and authenticity. Pros

Decent wines, some good people.

Cons

When I was there there were some amazing people that I really enjoyed working with. Sadly, those people were forced from their jobs or let go. The good people at Delicato are expendable and the people who have no moral compass just keep getting promoted higher and higher. Very sad state of a company who I thought I would be at much longer than I was.

Pros

My co-workers were top notch; smart talented and hard workers. Benefits were good and most of the family is still hands on and humble.

Cons

Upper management needs an overhaul. For the there to be a company culture statement that refers to "trust in team" this is something that needs to be practiced more and preached less by upper management. They are quick to point fingers and let their subordinates take the fall for their failures. They have created an environment that employees are afraid to speak up about anything as they are afraid of loosing their jobs. In a six month span in one department had at least 12 people leave the company, a majority of which were voluntary departures. That should be a sign you are loosing hard working valuable personnel.

We appreciate your feedback and continue to strive towards being an employer of choice. Thank you for acknowledging our employee survey as a positive step in the right direction. Surveys and employee round tables allow our teams to address the issues, solve problems collectively, and bridge communication silos. At Delicato, creating a culture and environment that allows each employee to do their best work is part of our core values and we are sorry that your experience was contrary to this belief. While we are not perfect, we encourage and promote open two-way communication and a commitment in providing ongoing recognition for the hard work and innovative solutions of our employees at ALL levels of our organization. This has been and will continue to be the key to our success.
