Pros

Hybrid work, benefits, 401k match

Cons

This workplace is challenging. Zero diversity and this place is mostly dominated by Indians. This place operates like a family business, with most team members being relatives or friends of managers. Unfortunately, apart from a few exceptions, many managers lack project knowledge and are ineffective. The culture demands navigating office politics and enduring long hours without much regard for work-life balance. Employees are expected to be available 24/7, even during personal time off, and working weekends is the norm. Performance ratings often reflect adherence to these unwritten rules. Subject Matter Experts often hoard knowledge, creating dependency rather than fostering collaboration. Many remain entrenched in the same project for decades, cultivating reliance on their expertise. Managers often disregard concerns or suggestions for project improvement unless they originate from SMEs. SMEs are treated with reverence, while others, even leads, are sidelined. Managers frequently disappear during the day for personal matters, only to reappear at 5 pm with urgent issues, expecting overtime completion. Despite working 9-6, extended hours are common due to last-minute demands. If you're not prepared to prioritize your mental health, personal time, and family life, then reconsider joining the cis project. In this environment, projects, technology, approach, and people's mindset are deeply rooted in legacy practices. Despite this, they perceive themselves as crafting the world's premier application. Many individuals have been isolated from the broader industry for years, solely focused on this project. Yet, they resist embracing new suggestions for improvement.Architects come off as pretentious, offering little value in problem-solving; instead, you seek their approval rather than genuine solutions. Testers prove ineffective, with many lacking clarity on their tasks. Management fails to grasp client requirements, imposing unrealistic deadlines and turning the entire process into a mockery. There's neither an open-door policy nor any coordination between different teams; each team operates as if it were a separate company

Pros

You get access to the world's largest clients and get to see what works and what doesn't, at scale.

Cons

From day 1 you are told that you are the best 1% in the world, harder to get into Deloitte than Harvard, the net effect is a population of people who, in their eyes, have never "failed", and are always right. This breeds a toxic environment of ego, elitism, and cronyism. You can make a lot of money there, but how much of yourself are you willing to sacrifice to do it?
