Pros

Co-Oping with Delta Airlines was one of the best experiences every. I would recommend it to anyone interested in the Airline industry.

Cons

The job can be high stress and compensation can be low. Also there is some politics involved when working there. Otherwise great company.

Pros

Lots of opportunity to do good work and be recognized. Exciting business - crazy and unstable at times. Great people, great culture - crappy financials for the past decade and a half.

Cons

With the merger with NWA there exists glaring disparities between salaries of pre-merger NWA people and pre-merger Delta people in the salaried ranks. Published pay scale/hourly wages have been reconciled. Salaries for leaders and amanagers must be reconciled. Delta's salary model has been very "gray", not at all transparent and very frustrating for many years. Now is the time for corrections and clarity.

Pros

Flight benefits are obviously the best reason. We can fly for free to just about anywhere in the world (but ONLY when there are empty seats!)

Cons

Seniority-based pay scale means performance is all but ignored. There is very little room for advancement. Also, senior flight attendants work very little and are paid very well, so it's hard to move up the ranks for bidding purposes. Flight attendants with 20+ years still have to work some holidays and weekends.
