1. Strong work-life balance policy with the flexibility to work remotely. 2. Very generous PTO and sick leave policies. 3. My role has lots of variety outside of my core job which keeps me engaged and learning new things. 4. Team culture is strong, supportive, and collaborative. 5. Deltek is always on the cusp of new technology and engages the employees to utilize it in their work, such as AI. 6. Satisfied with salary which feels fair for the responsibilities and market.

Cons

1. Health insurance for US employees could be more comprehensive. The plans rely heavy on pre-authorizations. 2. Recent layoffs have disproportionally affected US staff, while new jobs being created are mostly offshore in India. 3. Bonus structure for non-sales roles feels inequitable. Individual contributors have little control on the metrics that determine their bonus. 4. 401K is way below the standard for company matching, @ just 2% (the employer match is 50% of the first 4% of your total actual gross earnings). Average company match in the USA is @ about 4.6%!

Deltek is an awesome place to work! The company is at the forefront of AI development and integration in its products, which makes the work exciting and meaningful. I love the flexibility of working from home and being part of a diverse, global team of talented coworkers. My manager is fantastic—supportive, empowering, and always provides helpful guidance while trusting me to make decisions that move the project forward.

Cons

"If I had to name a con, it would be that I work a standard 40-hour week—but that’s expected for full-time employment anywhere. It’s a fair trade-off for the flexibility, great team, and meaningful work I get to do."

- Work life balance: Generous PTO and fully remote work - Work environment: Helpful team members and management - Impactful work: Even as an early career professional, I am given important work that significantly impacts our product. This has helped me rapidly develop skills - There has been a significant push for teams to adopt new technologies and development practices

Cons

- Late meetings with international team members - There is a small amount of disorganization with the SDLC partially because of working across time zones - There was a lack of training and onboarding materials which forced me to rely on team members and LLMs to get up to speed - Compensation is slightly below the industry average, but the work / life balance and remote work make up for it in my opinion
