Turnover was outrageous during my time and I was often doing the work of two people with zero recognition for my work from my boss or Director. Pay is not competitive in the lightest and does not accommodate the rising living expenses of the DMV. The Director of my team was also sexist and played favorites. This is a job to start your career or if you just need a job. Don't expect to ever get promoted, or receive a raise.

Although my experience comes from a remote work perspective, I immediately saw the lack of diversity within the zoom meetings, from my team specifically. I was the only BIPOC on my team, or minority for that matter--with the exception of two folks who were participants from another team. Due to the world shaking events that occurred, I immediately felt uncomfortable as there was no one "Like me" to discuss things with. I could only imagine how uncomfortable I would've felt in the office. No one discriminated against me, but there were moments of racial insensitivity that bothered me during my employment. There is also a lack of initiative taken by middle management to assist struggling employee's. This may be by design tho, as upper management has put a lot on their plate.
