Pros

Good training. Good co-workers. Lots of work to get done!

Cons

Too many to list. Upper management will lie right to your face. Must relocate to promote. "Paid" relocation is simply milage plus you get paid for 5 days. Most times the manager wants you to start the day you arrive. And who can blame them, by the time you arrive the poor manager may have worked as many at 30 days straight without a day off. The company moves at half the speed of smell. More hours that you can imagine. It is not uncommon for folks to work 13 days without a day off. 12 hours + every day but sunday. 6+ on Sunday. Your weekly 1/2 day will be about an 8 hour work day. Like to excersice? Good cause inaddition to all this you get unload trucks and work in the warehouse!!

Pros

Pay is excellent if you put in the time and effort. Middle management and upper management are like one big family to ALL employees. You don't have to worry about working with shady or unethical coworkers because it is not tolerated at all. You can bet that if you are working with employees of Denver Mattress you are working with dedicated, hard working, and honest people.

Cons

You will work EVERY holiday and weekend from now on except Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Also, all stores have one manager and one assistant manager and one has to be there at all times, so if one takes vacation or suddenly quits the other is on an 80 work week until vacation is over or a replacement is found. Finding replacements for management can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks. At least you are making that much more money when you work these hours though.

Pros

If you're looking for a meaningful sales position, this is the career for you. Pay, of course, can be great at times, and also depends on your performance. I have never seen a company that promotes quicker than this one. You can work at this company if you have a family, but if you are young and single, this company would be fantastic for you. Also, the hiring process can be harder, but this company hires phenomenal people who are great to work with.

Cons

Long hours. Say goodbye to your normal 8 hour day, and say hello to a 12 hour day. Also, a lot of people who walk in treat you like a car salesman, so half the time you are trying to convince the customer that you really do care how they sleep, instead of trying to make money off of them. Not only that, but the company disallows any negotiating with the prices, which can be very frustrating. Most people who shop for mattresses know that they should hardly ever pay the sticker price that is listed, so a lot of people walk down to the competition and buy down there. Lastly, the company is absolutely obsessed with numbers. When hired, you will understand. They want to see you sell a lot of necessities (pillows, protectors, sheets. etc) and also want to make sure you reach particular numbers during your presentation with customers. If you do so, they will promote you ridiculously quickly. However, the company seems to overlook the simple attribute when wanting to promote someone, which is if they can actually run a store and lead fellow workers.
