Pros

Good pay at times. Especially at the end of the month if you make your bonuses which you will almost every month. Always something to do. Even if you don't see customers for awhile. Opportunities for advancement.

Cons

The hours were much less than desirable. Sell more, you will move up faster. This does not mean the best people get promoted. Great job if your single. If you have a family forget it. Some f the managers have families and can do it but it's not for everyone. Never have weekends off but it is retail so you can't really expect that. Lastly, unfortunately the worst part about this job are half the customers that walk through the door. They treat you like a car salesman, like im trying to take advantage of them or something. (not all car saleman are that way) It was draining and annoying trying to prove your trustworthy everyday. I took this job to help people, which you get to do a lot of, but the other side of that is that you are trying to put out fires all the time.

Pros

i was started at 13 dollars a hour at this place so the pay is exceptional especially for someone who works low on the totem pole in this place. the management is open and full of integrity like they promise in the interview and i appreciate them a lot for the most part. they also pay good benefits and wont make you work insane hours like the sales people

Cons

be prepared to sacrifice any social life or involvements that you have when your working here. you haft to work every single weekend and some holidays no exceptions.and you wont be getting out of work till at least 7;00 on the weekdays and 6:00 on Sundays.so if you have a family be prepared to not spend much time with them, though you get two days off a week which isnt much and it cant be on the weekends. the hardest part of this job also is that you haft to unload entire semis full of adjustable bases which are over 200 pounds and mattresses that weigh close to 50 pounds. once you get hired here plan to work as the warehouse guy for the long term, rarely if anyone who works in the warehouse gets promoted so if you think your gonna get promoted think again. also be prepared to do mundane and repetive work and do things that will be insanley easy to do.

Long work hours, Not family-oriented

Pros

Very good pay during high volume sales times and slow-paced, relaxed work atmosphere. If you like your coworkers, working 12+ hour days with them isn't bad.

Cons

You basically sacrifice everything for the money. Sure, it pays higher than most sales jobs, but at what cost? This is not the family-oriented company they promise in the interviews. They may have high family standards in corporate, but you can't have a family and work 60-80 hours a week, every week, every weekend, and every single holiday. Also, you have to move to be promoted, no exceptions. They run a very small staff, so there is no additional coverage in the individual stores, and the managers and associates often have to come in an hour before, and stay an hour after the already long store hours to work on warehouse duties. There are always weekly semis to unload, usually in the early morning before a full work day. But, they keep that small of a staff on hire so that there is enough commission to go around to make the pay higher. Since it is 100% commission, there will be days you can work over 12 hours and not make any money, and days you make a single sale that brings in a few hundred. It's the large paychecks that keep people there as long as they do, but the hours are not worth a large paycheck every few weeks.
