If you are a naturally Sales Hunter, has revenues increase in your blood, and you solely focus on revenues, you are going to be incredible successful at Descartes.

Cons

The company is so revenue driven, that unconscious the company gets extremely selfish, solely focus in your individual quota. Neglecting important aspects as team spirit, collaboration, group brainstorms and so on. Part of the operation is under a very inappropriate leadership with no experience on selling software and long sales cycle. They are under a learning process related to basic managements skills as KPI's, OKRs and so on, so if has qualification on IT management it will be hard and stressful to implement a culture of purpose, goals and detailed metrics. Human Resources are very far from the employees.

I have been working for Descartes for a while. Some of the pros: No office politics. Friendly colleagues Work is well appreciated.

Cons

If you are competitive and overachiever, this is not the place. Do not invest in trending technologies. There is no scope of promotions or higher roles.
