If it’s an emergency breakdown then you do what you have to do to complete the task and get the crane running. New hires are not trained and need to be with a senior tech to get the training needed. I would recommend 3 months minimum. Even if customers are desperate. Technician Gossip is wild here I imagine like high school. Career as a tech is just that. Raises are not fair each year. They will steal from your pay any chance they get. Especially if a job makes them lose money. There is no hours to begin with. Promised raises but never delivered. Benefits are not that good comparative to the industry. Management is not that good relaying information. They hire from outside the company so there is no room for advancement. Pay is well below the industry standard, and I came in at what they claimed was the highest pay scale, with 5 years experience, and made less than half of my old job as a technician.
