Pros

Det-Tronics has the possibility of being truly great. So many of the people are deeply committed to the business, and working together for mutual success. Compensation is good, and products are second to none in flame and gas detection. Products that you can be proud of!

Cons

United Technologies Corporation runs this business like it is about to go into bankruptcy. Constant cost cutting when they are making HUGE margins. It has take what could be an amazing place to work, and (because they have one person doing 2 or 3 people's jobs) effectively harpooned the culture. Everyone is overworked and under resourced. Work/life balance suffers, and people who genuinely care about each other and this business get burned out and sour, or leave.

Great team but poor IT and CEO level management issues

Pros

Certain managers are excellent and help make the workplace better. Stress has not been high for deadlines.

Cons

IT is horrible. No admin rights without justification and constantly getting in the way. Higher level management is very egotistical. Work from home full time is only for special contractors not full time employees... Really shows that they value their employees.
