HR and Accounting Nightmare

Pros

The office is Trendy.People are extremely nice

Cons

Its particularly scary as an experienced professional to work in an environment where DCAA code is not taken seriously within the accounting dept. The management in accounting is all over the place lacking basic courtesy and communication skills, customer service and knowledge. Turnover is high in accounting and It is clear leadership pays it no attention. HR is incompetent (probably due to the fact they allow drug addicts to work with in HR) I saw one with my own eyes who appeared inebriated while at work on the clock.( I believe sent home by the manager after the manager took notice of the sketchy mental condition)

2017 started with several folks complaining about human resources and accounting, and we’ve made several changes that I have updated staff during our state of the union. However, did we make the level of changes you suggested? An updated feedback would be helpful. Thanks.

This place is a joke

Pros

Parties, decent health insurance, other perks

Cons

This place is a perfect place for all the misfits in international development or people who are straight out of college and dont know the difference. HR and accounting are incompetent. I know some people who filed complaints against their project's management describing disgusting levels of micromanagement and racial/ethnic comments and got laid off two weeks after. Either they dont care or completely oblivious not to understand that the rest of the team knew whats going on. So forget about whistleblowing or having a candid discussion with the HR.

Payroll and benefits need improving

Pros

Management says they care and seems to be interested in employee feedback.

Cons

Management has changed pay period structure to give them more time in beteeen checks. Very unusual and hard on employees.
