Pros

I started part-time hoping to make a little extra cash when my kids were little. I loved the atmosphere, company philosophy and the customers. That was 29 years ago. There are lots of opportunties to grow with Dierbergs if you like to work hard, learn, and don't mind the retail hours.

Cons

The retail hours, physical requirements and low wages.

I started out working part-time at Dierbergs while in high school, Over the years they let me try to new things and now I am in management at their corporate office. I love the people I work with at Dierbergs. Great work life balance. I know other retailers expect their managers to work 60 - 70 hours a week. Dierbergs understands that work-life balance makes for happier associates.

Cons

Salaries could be more competitive.
