Pros

Core business of PKI and certificates is a cash cow. Company has been around for a while and has a lot of customers who renew. Generally an easy sales motion if you are engaged with your customer. Support and service is very good. Customers generally renew and good opportunity to upsell them exists. Company hired new CEO last fall. He has brought in a lot of energy and high growth mindset, pushing new products and changes which are needed but the company is not accustomed to. Our overall brand and visibility has improved. Lots of focus on execution and pace has picked up. When I joined 2 years back there weren't new products, now we have a lot more to sell. Company is investing in hiring, new offices, etc.

Cons

Big changes were implemented in the sales organization. We had 2 separate teams that were combined. Some of the accounts I had nurtured were assigned to others. Gained some, lost some. Lots of new systems. Need more enablement on new products.

A few great aspects and pros don't seem to outweigh the cons

Pros

great work from home flexibility and pushing toward hybrid when local restrictions allow employees to return to an office setting. Health benefits seem strong compared to others in the industry/area.

Cons

employees are underpaid compared to market value. We constantly hear about wanting to evaluate for higher and see limited salary increase which makes the two seem like they are tied together. Ageism and favoritism is a real thing and hinders the growth of sales teams. This feeds into the culture of complacency and has built up a team of less driven sales reps that hinder the growth of what could be the growth engine of the company.

Working from home currently and stocked kitchen

Cons

Management is non existent. We're all working from home now and neither managers or directors respond to questions. So now we're just blindly issuing certificates so our metrics don't drop.
