Pros

They do raise reviews for the employees every three months. I have never heard of a job giving raise reviews every three months before so knowing that if I work hard I can get my pay increased consistently is a huge bonus. The people complaining in their reviews that the increase drops from $0.50 every three months to $0.25 every three months are missing the point that they are getting raises every three months. I worked at jobs where I worked two years for a $0.10 raise. The level of ungrateful greediness is amazing with these individuals demanding more more more at a company that is bending over backwards to do the right thing and reward hard work. The company also has full medical coverage, as in whether you need single, couple, single plus kids or a full family. Most of the companies out here only provide the government mandated single person coverage. You can also get real cheap vision and dental if you need it. The company was also really helpful when it came to me needing some time off. They didn't give me a hard time or anything they just added me to the calendar, scheduled another resource to cover my shift and that was that. Individuals complaining about not having a hard number are failing to realize the only people being let go are individuals who had over 15 days out in a 12 month period of time. Management has given rides to people that needed it because of car trouble. In fact the President loaned his car to an employee when theirs broke down. This company is great. Don't listen to the unmotivated snowflake reviewers.

Cons

It would be great if the back parking lot could be paved. I know that is probably the landlords fault, but the gravel isn't great for parking.

Pros

This is a great job to get your foot in the door for software quality assurance, as you learn a lot about software development while you work here. This is also a great job if you’re just looking for something the make some money while you find your real career. A few of the managers are really nice and somewhat caring, so you can go to those managers to ask questions. Your coworkers are usually decent enough at training you for whatever project you’re assigned to. There isn’t really a dress code, so you don’t have to worry about having a whole wardrobe of business casual. You can literally show up in sweat pants and as long as you do your job without questioning anything, you’re golden.

Cons

As an employee, you don’t want to get put in a leadership position here. The moment you do, management throws a ton of responsibility your way with no training for the leadership position from them whatsoever. You have to rely on your coworkers to train you, coworkers who barely make more money than you. Management is overwhelmingly unclear and flip-flops on what they want from you with such regularity, it’s almost funny. They’ll tell you to do something one way, then 2 weeks later, want it done a different way, then yet 2 more weeks later want it reverted back to the original way, all while making it seem like you did something wrong, instead of what’s expected just changing. If you mention it to the wrong managers, they’ll go to the boss and misconstrue what you said and meant. Once you’re on management’s radar, you’re screwed. Find a new job immediately before you get fired with no warning. Management likes to say they want to hear employee’s concerns, but they’re not. They listen to maintain the charade that they’re open to suggestions, then nothing gets changed and you just end up on their radar. When it comes time for raises each quarter and you’re on their radar (even if you didn’t do anything really wrong), they’ll find a way to deny you a raise. You barely make more money here than you can make in leadership positions at minimum wage jobs, such as a movie theater, fast food, or retail. If you compare their starting rate to the average rate for someone doing the same job, it’s drastically underpaid. If you have a college degree in this field or extra knowledge, such as knowing how to code, you still get paid the same as some random person without a degree or extra knowledge. There’s a raise cap at $11 an hour, so after your first 6 months, your raises drop from 50c a quarter to 25c a quarter. The maximum you’re eligible for from 6 months forward is 25c a quarter no matter how well you do. There’s no incentives to stay, no PTO, no way to accrue unpaid vacation, no sick days. They only offer what they have to to try to keep their costs down: health insurance. If you have a lot of unfortunate life events or just need to have some time off to do errands or appointments, you have to tread incredibly lightly. You can only request so much before management starts getting upset, but they don’t have any sort of clear indication as to what’s “too much”, such as an established point system for attendance or something. It seems like when they just decide you’ve requested too much and you’re already on their radar, *snap* you’re fired. All in all, don’t expect a career here. Don’t expect consistency from management here. Don’t expect clear communication from management. Don’t expect decent raises. Don’t expect to stay here for very long if you’re not a pushover.

Pros

- Easy job - Okay pay - Most coworkers are fun and easy to get along with

Cons

Part time is on call. Management tells you they will call you by 10 am or so if they need you to come in. They rarely called me by then. I would get a call at 1 pm asking me to come in at 2 pm. Most times this happened I would be out of town or unable to make it in on that time. If you refuse to come in for literally any reason, it is counted against you. I had reported the most bugs on my team. That was overlooked and I was fired without notice. When hired, you are given the illusion of a laid back work environment. DO NOT BE FOOLED. Unless you are a member of management, they will look for a reason to fire you. Full time workers, too. Some are even given mandatory overtime, something that is not mentioned during the hiring process. They wonder why they are constantly losing workers.
