Pros

o Twice a year they hold 'Game Jam': An opportunity to be creative, form teams with co-workers to create a game within a weekend. Themed on making a board-game or video-game. The entries are seen by pros. and winning team gets a trophy. o They've just announced 'First Friday Film', after work you can kick back and watch a flick with everyone. Pizza and pop-corn is provided. You decide (collectively) what film you'd like to watch. o This job is one of the few I know of where everyone has breaks and lunch at the exact same-time. Makes for wonderful moments to get to know everyone. Sometimes folks co-op/game together. Others draw and collaborate - it's all good.

Cons

o Because of multiple tenants share the indoor parking, DDF employees are required to park on the street. I suggest bringing a window-shade for the heat and I rag for after the dust-storms strike. o Loud planes fly-by regularly. Occasionally I've lost my focus while working. o Be prepared to sit for a long period of time, this may not be an issue for some but I had some difficulty when I started this job. It helped me to walk 12 minutes during lunch.

Pros

Great place for a "first job", especially if you're trying to get your foot in the door of the software industry, and get some of that ever elusive "experience" under your belt.

Cons

Low wages, relatively expensive health insurance options, no room for advancement. Under-performers look elsewhere, if you can't cut it, they'll cut you immediately. They literally ask you to not take time off, unless it's for emergencies.

Pros

Dream Forge places a very high premium on work-life balance, and allows its personnel to engage in private ventures outside of office hours.

Cons

No cons to speak of.
