Pros
After getting a degree at college I was surprised to find that I knew almost nothing I needed to know to get an actual job. I may have learned some technical skills but the college didn't prepare me on how to even write and communicate with other software development team members or with clients. They also didn't really explain how the development process at companies actually operates. DDF has been a great benefit in that regard. I am working directly with development teams and fellow employees and I can honestly say that I am feeling more confident and qualified about getting my next job in software development thanks to this position. The people here are nice (minus one creepy guy that was immediately let go by management within a week when the issues came up) and helpful. The owner actually did my interview, has answered questions I have had and spent the time to talk with the entire staff one on one when we lost a big project. I have never had a boss due that before so it was pretty cool.
Cons
Some of the employees have odd personality traits. I have come to expect that with techy people but now that I am in a room with a lot of them the few socially awkward employees in the group are very noticeable. This isn't a company flaw mind you, just the reality that tech people in general come with social difficulties.
