Pros

Pay well and have decent benefits.

Cons

Leadership says jump and you need to say how high. The amount of whiplash on priorities and reorg changes from leadership was crazy. Also have an unlimited PTO policy but will ask questions if you start taking more than 3 weeks off even though there is no recommended amount of time off for you to benchmark against.

Pros

- Great culture + team + management - Good work life balance (at least after understanding the role and what's required) - Opportunity to travel and work on builds (but not too often which is good) - Learn a lot of sys admin / networking (esp if you've come from a full automated company like AWS)

Cons

- On call shift rotation, sometimes getting paged middle of the night for unnecessary things - Stopped hiring engineers (sys / network) in Sydney. Even if management wants to hire you, c-level will reject - Becoming overly corporate like AWS culture, but not at that point yet
