      * Great benefits * Decent leadership * Peers are a delight to work with * A lot of opportunity for ownership and personal autonomy

      Cons

      * Strong work hard play hard culture * Expect to work after hours on tight deadlines. Basically what you can expect from a smaller stage start up but with more people and less chaos.

      Discord has hired some of the best and most dedicated engineers, who clearly care deeply about the product they are building. Working at Discord could be a great opportunity for early career engineers to hone their skills and learn from the best. Discord is also very committed to diversity.

      Cons

      Highly tenured engineers can sometimes be very vocal and make you feel like you have to do what they ask of you.
