Hi there, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We’re glad to hear positive feedback on a good engineering culture and smart, compassionate people to work with. Our people are the best — we completely agree! We’re sorry to hear that you feel compensation is a weakness. Discord strives to offer competitive compensation packages including equity. In addition to competitive pay we also offer benefits like 401(k) matching in the U.S., four weeks of PTO, 14+ paid holidays, flexible sick time (which includes mental health days), up to $20,000 for gender-affirming care, a quarterly stipend for wellness activities, and up to $1,000/year in donation matching to charitable organizations. We highly value your thoughts and are taking your feedback into consideration. As always, we encourage you to have a discussion with your manager or People Partner with any additional concerns, and they can help you address them in a meaningful way. Thanks again!

Pros

You get to work with a talented set of people that really come together as a community. People who act like bad people get removed fairly quickly (most of the time).

Cons

The people who own the shop are slave drivers that demand too much out of you. I saw someone break down crying. There are also lots of people who contribute nothing to the work flow but are allowed to stay on as long as they don't impede it.
