Pros

- Good for part timers - Get to learn tires - Some co-workers are nice and helpful (It will vary in locations)

Cons

- The amount of physical labor can be ridiculous at times - Barely get break time for yourself - Some of the co-workers can be total jerks or bullies to newer employees (It will vary in locations) - Training process can badly rushed and sloppy depending on your trainer (My trainer was horrible and often rushed me) - You miss the taste of freedom, trust me you will eventually

Pros

Great team environment, it is a fast paced environment during the snow season and was very flexible with hours while pursuing studies. Use of good work practices such as the requirement of torque wrenches and tire repair standards. Not all garages use these work practices when performing tire maintenance and it benefits the long term health of tire related components.

Cons

There is a limited amount of scope to the work done on vehicles, which can become monotonous over time. If you enjoy changing tires and performing related services it is a good place to be, otherwise it works best as a stepping stone to another job or eventually into management.

Pros

Flexible hours. You'll always have Sunday's off It's easy to get raises. You get two yearly bonuses You'll learn a lot.

Cons

There's a lot of kneeling down and bending over Heavy lifting. You'll more than likely injure yourself at some point in time while you work here. ( from splinters all the way to sliced fingers or crushed feet) If you're looking for the most hours you have to wake up early. 10-12 hour shifts.
