Pros
The best thing about working for this company is that there are endless opportunities for advancement regardless of your level of education or experience. All you have to do is show up and work hard and you WILL get consistent raises and eventually promotions. Discount only promotes from within, which is almost necessary for their system. They have been and will continue to be their industries leader because all employees understand and have performed each position in the company. Observe the guys beside you and above you and you will be happy that you did.
Cons
This kind of goes without mentioning but being a service tech. is physically demanding. You will get tired but you will also get in better shape. If you are used to fast-paced manual labor it will not be a big deal, but if you aren't, get ready to be tired. Another downside is that if you are working at a store in a lower income area, or for a store that doesn't quite have it figured out yet, you will not get raises as quickly as you would at one of the better performing storms.
