      Used to be a great place to work.. sad how they have ruined a great man’s legacy.

      Pros

      None that I can think of anymore, used to be good pay now they have made it near impossible to bonus.

      Cons

      Executive team has flipped what used to be a great culture in taking care of people to only caring about money. I have seen so many fellow employees walk out. It’s so bad they even have a forum dedicated to surviving Discount tire with hundreds of people unanimously agreeing life is so much better now. Hope everyone there realizes that in my 20 years there I have never seen anyone on the store level retire they only seem to get forced out or terminated after a life long commitment.

      Pros

      Great store work environment and management makes you feel more like friendships are made. Our people is a big part of how the manager makes the store a great place to work.

      Cons

      Ever since Mr. Halle has passed the company has been seeing some major changes in its culture. The upper staff are starting to loose the caring for aspect of their jobs. It’s all about the bottom line. They see numbers and not progress. Every visit from staff leaves an uninspired atmosphere. The entire store wanted to quit after the most recent visit from the AVP. He talks negatively to the whole store because we are lower volume. Funny that we are still meeting goals and he still beats up the manager. How is that going to promote positive change? If it wasn’t for how awesome our manager is we all would have left.
