Pros

Great Culture, Hard Work but Fun, Enjoy the people I work with. Pushed to meet our Full Potential. I believe Michael is leading us to great things. He's leading company to another level. I believe he cares for us and wants the best for all of us

Cons

Work/Family Life Balance, Long,Long Hours. Although I think we're going great places, working 6 days non stop is just not sustainable. My family life has suffered, especially in the last few years. It has come very hard to find enough help. Working 6 days a week has become expected, under the guise of "ownership". I get the idea of ownership, but it CANNOT come at the expense of time off. What good is time off, if I can't use it? If it comes to Discount Tire, or saving my marriage ( and it most likely will) - I will pick my marriage. AVPs and VPs telling you to work 6 days and telling you to "inspire" your people to do the same is wrong. How many reviews on this site talk about long hours? I think if you could keep the pay about the same, but get hours closer to 40, you'd have happier people. Family time is more important than ever. Saddest thing that can happen is when you realize your kids stopped asking you to come to their events. And you were too busy to notice. Learn from my years of service - we should have spent more time at home. You going to get better at recruiting AND retaining, and you may have to limit business to take care of your people. Working 70 -80 hours a week for months on end is killing me. Slowly but surely, it will. Culture is keeping me here for now, but a lack of family life will make me leave you if you don't change.

Full Time is Rough

Pros

Pay is decent for the opportunity you are given without any education requirements or work history.

Cons

The lifestyle is difficult. An expected 55+ hours a week is ridiculous. Not allowed breaks. Just lunch. 10+ hours days 5-6 days a week.
