Pros

Free entry into the park. Having a little inside information can be fun too.

Cons

Many may think that it is the park guests that make this place awful but in actuality they are the highlight. The way the policies are made and they way management treats employees is really the worst. This company is all about the almighty dollar and to line the executives pockets as much as possible they pay their base employees the absolute minimum. They cut entertainment opportunities in the park and purposefully schedule people when they are unavailable so that they quit and don't have to raise their pay. When I started in 2005 there were plenty of perks but year by year they all vanished, no more holiday pins, no more department holiday meals, no more closed park christmas party. Trying to get anyone any kind of positive recognition as a lead was like pulling teeth but management was always quick to punish people. A little appreciation goes a long way but at Disneyland that concept seems to be lost.

Pros

Great environment. Great perks if you like the parks themselves. Plenty of different professions to work at.

Cons

They seem to be cutting perks left and right. While there is room to move up, there are also close to 30,000 other employees attempting to do the same. Management in my area played favorites. Because everyone working there is so young, you often get a high school vibe. It truly made me jaded about the human race due to how some guests act. The pay is abysmal for the stuff management puts us through.

Pros

You get to work with people from many backgrounds. Some of them are amazing and some aren’t (It’s such a big company so you’re not going to like everyone).

Cons

Scheduling sucks. Part time worker but they make you work full time hours “if the workload demands it” which it recently has been even though we were on non-peak season. I’ve been with the company for 5 years and I still have a hard time getting scheduling to schedule me around my school schedule. Expect to work ALL holidays (even the small ones that you don’t get the day off from school for) and every weekend.
