Pros

- Easy, quick onboarding process. From initial phone interview to start date took 1.5 months, this was fast in comparison to recruiting processes I have gone through with other employers. I was sent to Discovering DocuSign in Seattle and fully on-boarded with dashboards/tools/training within 4 weeks. - Recurring company-wide, large team, and small team meetings/happy hours and lunches. Strong sense of connection to the larger organization. - Communication and open dialogue with employees about future visions and planning for the company. CEO, CMO, Head of Sales, and Chief Product Officer host town hall meetings and open Q&A for employees worldwide to ask about the proposed direction for the product. - Periodic rewards and call-outs for high performers on teams - Great offices! Fun places to work in convenient, beautiful locations.

Cons

- As the company grows larger, teams struggle to define roles and responsibilities clearly as well as understand who to work with cross-functionally. - Syncing the third-party communication platforms used internally can be a challenge.

Thank you for writing such a thoughtful detailed review. This really helps job candidates get a sense of what it's like to work here and if it's for them. Glad you like the Shout Out awards and the All Hands Q&A ... and that you feel a strong sense of connection to the larger org. (I do, too.) And thanks for your feedback re defining roles. With a new CEO and CSO/CMO on board, there has been a bit of flux and redefining. They say change is constant in fast-growing companies but it has increased even for DocuSign. It's all good. But it has felt like a lot and a lot of roles have been recently refined. Good point about IT and I think the IT strategy team is working on ironing that out. (They sent around a survey a few months ago focused on exactly that.)

Pros

I've worked at DocuSign for the past 3 years and have found myself again and again reflecting on how thankful I am that this is where I wound up working out of college. I've been blow away by the continual career growth opportunities I've been given and leadership's continued willingness and flexibility to work me to ensure a long and fruitful relationship. The work/life balance is great. The people I work with are great. Compensation is highly competitive and the company is on a fantastic trajectory. DocuSign's also recently approved an employee-match program for charitable donations which I think is a very cool illustration of senior leadership's commitment to social impact and supporting employee's personal and professional passions.

Cons

Very high expectations and a lot of pressure/stress in the sales org. It is a very quarterly-driven environment and the last 2 weeks of every quarter are intense. This is something I personally appreciate -- but would not be ideal for all personality types.

And its good for candidates to know so thank you for sharing that.

Hello to the Big Apple. Thanks for weighing in. Good to hear that you like how we are innovating. Our CEO says he will talk matching 401K post-IPO. It's on his radar so its only a matter of time. As far as remote employees are concerned, pls contact Ellen Reilly. She is gathering best practices and specific ideas about what we can do to make a remote employee's experience better. Brainstorm, come up will specific proposals than speak to your manager and the head of HR. We want this to be best in class. Help us.
