Pros

I honestly can't think of many pros, health insurance, maybe.

Cons

I would not recommend working here. There is no order, leadership, or transparency. Insecurity breeds insecurity and is not a welcoming place for learning or growing, or asking questions. Nobody is quite sure what is getting done at the Exec (or any) level, and your job will likely seem like you are shooting in the dark most of the time. Seems like financial security is always in question, which makes everyone feel on edge, not to mention constant layoffs. There are meetings about meetings, but nothing progresses except by a few people who carry most of the work but are not rewarded. It's a wonder how they've been around for this long. New generation is just riding on the coattails of the old generation, who seemed actually to enjoy the work and therefore be innovative—an absolute corporate nightmare. Avoid if possible.

Pros

Nice building, garage, salary, benefits

Cons

This is Dolby, the company whose name is very well known and you would expect that they work on creating positive, encouraging, collaborative work environment and value each individual differences but instead you will be bullied by immature coworkers, and managers and senior managers. There are no HR involvement to foster professional work environment or any management involvement. The senior management does not care what is going on inside the teams instead they only worry to provide negative feedback two times a year. The main cohort consist of the people who work their 10 plus years and there are no way for a new employee to progress. The new employee will be yelled at by everyone and bullied. The management does not provide guidance, does not support, does not care. Promotion does not depend on your skills and hard work. Watch your back!!!
