Interesting products, amazing brand, great engineers. Good opportunities, often missed.

Cons

Totally don't understand marketing. So that sales control everything. Huge swings of policy based on the whims of the top management.

- good compensation - Dolby generous with Holiday days, if you have time to take them - fun industry - good, hard - working, fun staff

Cons

- NO work/life balance - poor communication from Executive Management - losing site of industry trends - entire company works in silos with no cross synergies - bias across functions / no consistency - Dolby use to promote forward thinking, now becoming a "yes-man" culture - it seems execs are tailoring business to secure bonuses - SAP implementation was absolutely horrible, poor judgement of CIO and CFO to employ subpar consultant

People are great to work with at this company. THey are very personable and friendly. Lots of engineers and down to earth individuals.

Cons

Limited career development. There are not alot of career goals. It seems like the position you get hired into will be the position you stay with for awhile.
