Pros

Dolby is a great brand to work for with some exceptional engineers and terrific technology. Overall the people are great and the work environment fun. Good opportunities to work in other markets and love the off Fridays

Cons

Terrible marketing leadership who don't have the experience, charisma or determination to pull the team together and lead strategically rather than tactically.

Pros

Benefits are a highlight. Technical expertise in media is amazing; simply the best especially in audio. A lot of people "eat their own dog food" here, and many times the technology created starts out being used in employees home studios, home theaters.

Cons

Politics are repressive, especially in sales / marketing. People here work to keep their job, not to further the company. The old guard needs to empower, not intimidate. For all the talent, Dolby's not released anything relevant in 20 years to the market.

Pros

Good pay, work/life balance, nice people

Cons

Unengaging and boring. Not a cutting-edge or relevant technology company.
