      Stay away from Marketing, it's a mess. Loyalty and a tenure career at Dolby doesn't mean a thing.

      Pros

      The engineers are the best in the world at redefining and inventing how we should want to enjoy entertainment - movies, TV, gaming, sports, music, etc. There are a wide variety of programs aimed at creating an environment where all employees are able to do their best work (e.g. world-class labs, workspaces, tools, pay & benefits, wellness, trainings, etc.) The people are smart, passionate, capable of solving incredibly complex and difficult problems, and demonstrate a very high level of integrity.

      Cons

      Cultures can be very different depending on the org your in. Transparency and accountability have room for improvement. We sometime make things too complex.

      Focused on hi-def audio and video with really good work life balance

      Pros

      Masters at all things A/V, algorithms and software. Every other Friday off is a dream. Cool annual hackathon called ideaquest. Good benefits, commuter stipend, 401K and profit sharing. People are friendly and smart. Lots of volunteer opportunities. Very global which is good in a way but need to be good at dealing with time zones. Office is like new and the labs are insane.

      Cons

      Potential is more than whats been delivered so far. With great tech and brand we should be taking off more especially with peak TV happening.
