Pros

*Managers are willing to be more flexible usually with your schedule. *Can be cool items you get first dibs on if you like the dollar tree. *If you are able to become a manager of any type your overall experience will be quite different there. *I have had a good store manager who was kind cared about me I felt and wanted me to succeed and move up. Usually have low standard of entry for hiring.

Cons

*Poor pay *Only two positions that get benefits are store manager and merch manager. *I have had a bad store manager who was a compulsive lier and was very lazy. Not to mention they would often talk about the great relationship they have with the district manager.(meaning they could get away with whatever they wanted pretty much in my opinion) *They hire enough workers into any non management positions at part time only I've noticed. I can't live off of the wages from this job position. *People often disrespect the store and place items around randomly (they didn't want etc) and you have to constantly try to keep it orderly. *Even worse parents let their kids play in the toy section to distract them as if that is it's purpose. *You are always very busy working hard for your $13 an hour part time hours, starting pay. *How enjoyable your experience working is depends a lot on your store manager if they are not lazy, are willing to take time to help you work more efficient, their moods at work are good/suck etc...

Pros

Didn't have to worry about price tags. Satisfying to see fully stocked and organized aisle.

Cons

Lifting heavy bleach/2 liter soda boxes. Having to manually remove every single piece of merch from truck by hand. Can get overwhelmed with too much inventory.
