      Pros

      The pay is great! You cannot beat the overtime.

      Cons

      The operations department environment has so many administrative policies and individuals paid to observe work that it makes it almost impossible to get work done. Current hiring practices make it impossible to hire new employees and the entire department is short handed. You will be forced to work overtime regularly outside of your normal shift work.

      Pros

      Pay is great, but you will be beaten into the ground/stressed out/have zero work life balance.

      Cons

      No work life balance, very stressful, almost all supervisors are extremely micromanaging, supervisors don't care about your safety (told to come in during a snowstorm when I could work from home, made everyone come back into the office in May 2020), was "coached" by a supervisor and manager to change evaluation affecting a nuclear power plant (I refused).
