Management has made a conscious decision to pass over qualified employees with long tenures for the millennial generation when giving promotions. Senior management is mainly 50 plus white men and therefore lacks diversity.

Working here you have to understand that this company's main product is dividends, not electricity or gas. Its main customers are shareholders, who are far more important than employees. Your annual bonus has almost nothing to do with your personal job performance, but is based on how much is left once the shareholders get theirs. Even closely related areas of the company are not managed consistently. Promotions are irregular and the criteria to achieve them are ill-defined. One location will promote an employee while someone with the same qualifications and twice the experience at another location is not promoted.
