You’re going to be targeted, harassed, bullied, blamed, threatened, lied to, and entirely on your own. Believe me when I say this, the long time ops employees do NOTHING but gossip and make things up about people. All you have to do is sit and listen, it’s so pathetic. This is not somewhere you want to work. You’ll get called all sorts of things behind your back no matter how hard you work, unless you’re the “right” kind of person. Management will never be on your side, they will sweep everything under the rug and tell you it’s your fault and find any excuse to make you doubt yourself. Save yourself the trouble and work elsewhere; plenty of nuclear operator positions at plants that pay better, have a way more professional environment/standards, and more than a dollar and some change night differential.
