Not a bad gig

Pros

I love being able to work when I want to work and for as long as I want. Some days the money is awesome, but with any job like this it has its low points. Overall though, I've really enjoyed the job.

Cons

I wish there were more incentives. I've done a couple of them and it was great! I love the challenge. I wish there were better instructions in the beginning so I knew what I was doing. Non tippers lower your acceptance rating if you decline them and if you do them, you are basically paying out of your own pocket to deliver their order. And the non tippers are usually the first to complain about anything you do wrong. I had one complain about me because there was a wreck on the highway and I had to make my way down side streets and through traffic to get around it. Nothing I could do about it, but they complained even though I was within the time limit given. Still irks me but whatever. Only time I've ever gotten a bad review.

Pros

Flexible hours; paid instantly upon ending each dash (paid via DasherDirect debit account, which has some benefits to using, but i use it for the instant payouts at no charge and I transfer my funds into my CashApp account as needed); can work anywhere I happen to be.

Cons

Annoying people and situations that arise due to annoying (ie., stupid) people. Such as people giving the wrong address (Main Rd vs Main St, and they are 10 miles away from each other. Makes a big difference...), and restaurant employees summoning a driver when the order hasn't even been started.

Pay and their app for drivers freezes at critical times for long amounts of time repeatedly over and over on an 8 hour shift. Because of an app based not driver with a phone currently at fully bars 5g reception and when i try to report it and see if they found a fix they offer the same dumb everyone already knows to try solution of restarting the app and phone to fix it which i told them fails it continues for 10 minutes or more not allowing me to access an order or the app at all which happened a number of times each time lasted a month or so each of the 4 or 5 time periods this happened to me. This didnt even give me, the driver, a chance to try and earn the needed # of delivery orders to make still very poor pay considering gas and car repair.
